| Striking blond British actress who began her acting career at the age of four, as the daughter of Mia Farrow and Bruce Dern in The Great Gatsby (1974). She appeared in The Blue Bird (1976), Hanover Street (1979), as well as many British TV and stage productions but made her first big splash as singing star Crepe Suzette in the stylish Absolute Beginners (1986). She went on to appear in A Chorus of Disapproval (1988), Lethal Weapon II (1990), and achieved her greatest critical success as an outspoken young woman in Twenty-One (1991). The stardom that was predicted after the Lethal Weapon exposure hasn't materialized, but Kensit has kept busy in both television and theatrical films including Blame It on the Bellboy, Blue Tornado, Timebomb (all 1991), The Turn of the Screw (1992), Bitter Harvest and Full Eclipse (both 1993, the latter made for TV). She came full circle in her career by playing Mia Farrow in the TV miniseries "Love and Betrayal: The Mia Farrow Story" (1995). |
